When I went to where my mom works I saw a faerie.
I was walking towards the house there was a row of bushes. Then,
I saw one fly out to me. She was gray but cheerful. She stayed there
a moment twitching her antennae then left. Another time it was night.
My mom's physic friend and I were on the deck. Then we both looked
at the yard and saw a greenish blue glow. She was beautiful. Though
we didn't see her figure her glow enchanted us. I asked if she saw
it in a whisper and she whispered back."Yes, and it's bluish."
I was astonished she really did see it too!

It's not as everyone says, they don't have dust
on him or her that'll make you fly. And I've never have seen them
do anything magical except exist-but they've always been near me.
Sometimes when I go to new places I see them. I consider myself
extremely lucky and I keep expecting to wake up from a dream. I
wonder to myself why they are so comfortable around me. I wish that
everyone had the privilege to see one; it brings a feeling of exhilaration
that can't be explained in writing. To know that it's not just a
fairy tale, but it's real. These beings do exist whether you believe
in them or not.

I am 17 years old, but when I was 9 I saw my first fairy...

I live in the USA, and always have and I was
playing in my backyard around 7:30pm, twilight and dusk. And I was
playing by the flower bushes and I heard something. I was afraid,
because I thought that it was a snake or something, but I saw a
light in the bushes. Being curious, I went up to it and looked.
My heart stopped at what I saw. It was a woman about the size of
my fist with beautiful delicate wings. Her eyes didn't have irises
they were just pure green. Being young, I reached out to try and
touch her but she cut me and flew away. I ran back to my mother
and tried to tell her, but she didn't believe me and told me that
I had just scraped myself on a thorn. After that I became obsessed
with them. I consider myself very lucky, for most people only have
the privilege of seeing a fairy once in their lifetime. But I myself
have seen them many times, and have actually held one in my hands.
No one ever believes me, and when I try to show them, they won't
come out from hiding. They won't allow me to take pictures of them
either. In fact, I don't even know if they're good or evil because
they don't speak, at least I can't understand what they're saying.
And they aren't all women either, I've seen boys as well, but they
don't usually come out. Some of them still live near my house, but
I never saw the first fairy again. The one fairy that has always
been there I still see. And, she's even been in my house before
and in my room.

I ended up seeing a fairy pass my window at
nighttime, it was white and glowing and had legs I saw which made
me KNOW it was a fairy! I am so excited, and then tonight I decided
to go out and take random pictures and I took one of some sort of
fairy folk?

When I was nine I was playing with my friend
in the lane at the back of her house. She went inside to get a drink
and I sat on the grass, under a tree, looking at a flower bush.
It was sort of a flash, some thing, and an outline of a little person
emerging from the flowers. Then my friend called: "I'm back!"
And the "fairy" flew off it a flash!

Firefly or fairy?

My sister Jasahna and I saw a fairy once. We
were at a parking lot and we saw two four to five inch glows floating
over a pole. We thought they were fire flies but then we noticed
they were not in our part of Florida so we knew they had to be fairies.
When we got in the car we looked back and the fairies were gone!

My name is Casey and I'm 15 years old. When I
was little I would never let someone say fairies didn't exist because
I knew they did and one would die somewhere.
One day when I was out in the woods behind my
house I used to pretend I was a Fairy, until one day I stayed out
too late and had gotten lost in the woods. I was crying and panicking
but I saw a little light and as it got closer I saw it had human
like features, I knew it was a fairy! It helped me find my way back
to my house and I told her, "Thank you". To this day I
swear to you that same fairy still stays with me. Now I live in
an apartment with a pond in the back and she plays their some nights.
I have never taken a picture of her for she is too beautiful to
be captured on film I would like to say we are sort of best friends.

Hello. My name is Emily and I am 11 years old.
I strongly believe in fairies and have grown a strong liking for
them. I began believing on a September day when I was giving an
invitation to my party to a close friend. She noticed it was a fairy
party and quickly pulled out a picture. She told me her father recently
had gone to The Philippines to a place called Pixie Forest*. She
told me that he was just taking pictures of the ticket booth and
when he developed the pictures, there was a pixie in the picture!

* Pixie Forest, a kiddie theme park on the third
level of Festival Supermall, offers kids an enchanting time amidst
giant flowers and mushrooms in a candy-colored fairy village. This
world of fantasy is filled with rides and games that will delight
kids.

Today at school, I was playing outside, and I
looked up and I saw what looked like a bunch of fairies flying in
the air. They were showing me a book that had my name on it, which
is unusual because my name isn't really anywhere, and they came
up to me and I heard faint muttering and they flew away.

Mary Ellen. 2005- I have only had one sighting
that I can remember clearly. In 2002 my friend and I were making
fairy bedrooms out of some clear jewery boxes she had. We put some
mini cookies in a box and a few minutes later you could see small
chunks of the cookies being taken away!
I have never really seen an actual fairy, only
evidence. I first started believing in fairies in first grade when
my friends and I found some glitter on a tree at our playground.
I got some scraps of material from my mom, then made house with
them in a hole in the tree. The older second graders made fun of
us and got the material all muddy.
Now I am 10 and in 5th grade. I want to see fairies
so bad! A few of my friends used to be able to see tons of fairies
[or so they said] but now they say that they can't see them any
more. I still love fairies and I believe strongly in them. Maybe
this summer I might see one. I have tons of fairy books [not trying
to brag!].

A frightening sound: fairy or woodpecker?

Madison L. age 10- Michigan.
I have always believed in fairies and I I'm trying
to find out more about them. I have never seen a fairy but I have
heard one.
I was working on my fort one day when I heard a cross between a
laugh and a scream. The odd thing was it sounded like a whisper.
I looked around to see if it was my brother and his friend but they
were nowhere in sight. I was scared so I ran to see my brother and
his friend, they were playing, and I told them what happened. They
didn't believe me so I took them to where I heard it. We heard it
again and again and they said it was a woodpecker but when we heard
it again then they agreed it was not a bird. I hope to see a fairy
someday. I will never forget that experience!

Lucy- 17 North East USA.
Both my mom and I have had experiences with fairies.
She told me that she saw one, when she was a girl, by her grandmother's
flowerbed. She said that she was blond, and glowing white while
she hovered above the flowers, but when she saw my mom she dove
inside. When my mother looked for her she wasn't there.
I was playing around at Williamsburg, VA once
with a few friends. I'd read that fairies lived by toadstool rings
and when I was scouting around behind an old building I found one
in the grass. One of my friends thought it would be fun to knock
it over and I jumped inside the ring and told them to come out.
All these animals popped out of the bushes around the clearing we
were in and just stared at us, especially these two bright red cardinals
that sat side by side on a branch. I thought I saw sparkling lights
through the leaves. I believe in fairies, always have and wouldn't
mind seeing one head on.

I have seen a faerie (or at least think that
I have) it was once when I was very young and I was twirling in
our small hallway looking up at the ceiling when I saw something
completely green with black eyes it hovered above me for a moment
as I stared at it and then disappeared. I haven't seen a faerie
since then, but would very much like to.

I was laying in my yard around 6:00 pm, and I
opened my eyes to see purple wings fly by out of the corner of my
eye from the direction of my garden so I looked towards it and once
again I could only see it out of the corner of my eye then again
and then it was gone...All I could really see was purple wings about
2 or 3 inches high.
