Hi. I found your site after speaking to my Gran
today. She was telling me about a time she saw a group of fairies
in her house when she was a child. It was five in the afternoon
and she was sent to bed for misbehaving. She told me she could hear
a strange kind of chattering so she sneaked downstairs to investigate,
It was then she saw a group of fairies chatting among themselves,
she told me they then rose to the ceiling and flew away.
My sister has also seen 2 fairies in her garden.
But myself and my mum have seen elfin type beings. We lived in a
forest here in England. One day when out walking our dog my mum
saw a tiny man about 2 foot high with a very large head and strong
pointy features, appear by some bushes. He said hello to her and
she replied. She said he was dressed in the most perfectly tailored
green suit and had the strangest face. He then disappeared.
My own experience was one night when I walking
by a neighbours house when I was 14. I saw a tiny elfin woman again
around 2 foot high with a very large head, she was dressed in a
pretty pink dress but had very thinning and stringy hair. She tapped
on my neighbours door and then hid in the bin shed. Around this
time many of the neighbours complained of people tapping at the
door. It happened in my own house and also at the window of my bedroom.
I know its hard to believe in something you havent experienced but
beleive me theirs so much more to life than we are willing to accept.

Hello my name is Anna. I'm 21 now, but a few
years ago a friend and I went to Glastonbury. While sitting bored
one night we decided to climb the Tor (a big hill surrounded in
myth). When we were up there we walked around the building on the
top and took some photographs. At some point the weather turned
quite bad with strong winds and we couldn't find the path down.
When we eventually did, the wind stopped until we were safely down
to the next level of the path (if you have been to Glastonbury Tor
you will know what I mean). When we got home and had the pictures
developed, there were blue lights going from my friends head to
the building like lightening, on just the pictures from when we
were up on the Tor. I'm not sure if fairies were there but I'd like
to think that they kept us safe.

Hello, I am 13 years old and am almost positive
I have seen a faerie. A leprechaun at that. I have been told through
stories that humans and faeries used to get along well. Some people
would even put a small amount of gold on a stump, and the very next
day, find a new pair of shoes in place of the gold. So during the
summer, I tried this, and at first didn't succeed. But after a 12
days of putting a gold chain on a stump and then waiting at night
for something to happen, a small figure appeared and exchanged the
shoes for the gold. And then, without a trace, vanished. After it
disappeared, the air was shimmering around the stump. The shimmering
eventually moved into the woods, and then finally, disappeared altogether.

A fearless young woman finds a fairy community in Missouri!

Greetings from the land of unknown creatures!
I am twelve years of age and I live in Missouri
in the US in a small community called Greenwood Forest. Yes, I do
live in the forest, where it is very likely to see an unknown creature
or fairy. On many occasions have I seen a fairy, mostly in a deep
ravine of ponds and mosses full of turtles, birds, and insects.
Last summer I was walking with my brother and mother in the woods
when we came across a little set of ponds and mosses. Wow! I thought.
This is just the perfect spot for a community of fairies to live
in. I looked underneath some of the clumps of mosses to find.....................little
places dugout in a circle of which a family of little creatures
could fit into to sleep in winter!!! It was most extraordinaire,
and on many mosses were perfect little meadows on which little fairy
children would sleep.
The same year, in winter, I went back to see
if the fairies were there. It was getting dark as I approached the
location, so I expected they would be sleeping. But when I got there,
and as I got closer, there was wonderful miniature peoples dancing
naked on a large patch of moss. They were in a circle, singing the
most beautiful fairy song. Some were playing flutes or fiddles,
and all kinds of fairy instruments. It was the time of my life,
seeing them dancing there, celebrating the----well, celebrating
whatever they were.
Your fairy friend,
Lydia

My name is Lorraine. I live in Maple Ridge, BC,
Canada. My friends and I believe in fantasy things, and we have
fairy friends. We can't
necessarily see them, but we can sense them. I will never forget
the time when I felt sad and ran into the forest, and felt safe.
I make houses and things for the fairies, and the next time I go
to the house, it looked as though some thing had used it.

A young woman has an amazing brush with the Fae, bringing her
back from the precipice...
|
|
 |
 |
 |
| |
Im a 16-year-old girl from the east coast
of Canada. I live in a beautiful, small town beside the Atlantic
Ocean, and the atmosphere has always been somewhat mysterious and
'magical'...
Ever since I was born, I've believed in fairies.
When my parents brought me home from the hospital, there were pictures
of fairies all over my walls. As I grew up, I can remember cuddling
with my mom and playing with the silver fairy pendant that she always
wore around her neck...
I have a quilt that some of my parents friends
made for me that is embroidered with fairies, my aunt made me a
stained glass fairy to hang in my window: in other words, I've been
so immersed in everything fae that I've had no reason to ever doubt
their existence.
As a child, I'd play on the beach and in the
forests around my home. I can clearly remember always feeling some
sort of unexplainable force pulling me towards certain places in
the woods where water trickled over pebbles and moss covered the
larger rocks. These places always mystified me, and I'd build tiny
little chairs, beds, and gardens using twigs and flowers...I'd always
leave feeling strangely calm, as if I knew something that others
didn't.
Fast forward to the summer of 2001: I had become
an extremely depressed teenager with an uncanny ability to cover
all of my feelings and make everything seem normal. My family life
was wonderful, my friends were all I could ask for and more, my
life was beautiful... and yet I had fallen into a downward spiral:
one that would eventually lead me under a concrete bridge with several
bottles of high strength prescription drugs and the desire to end
everything. I swallowed the pills, lost consciousness, and fell
into the water. I don't know how much time passed, but miraculously
I came to and managed to throw up all of the pills I had ingested...
remember those magical places in the woods? This bridge was situated
not 2 minutes from my mystical forest.
When I awoke from my now terrifying attempt at
suicide, I felt something on my cheek. When my eyes opened, I saw
three tiny human bodies, each with transparent wings that looked
like tiny pieces of silk, but glinted like those of a dragonfly.
Stranger still was that often times in near death experiences, people's
lives "flash before their eyes". I experienced this phenomenon,
but in a slightly different way. Every memory I had of playing in
the forest flashed into my mind, but as if I was watching as an
outsider. I saw myself making those tiny twig creations, and behind
trees, sitting on branches, and even beside my head, fairies had
been with me. One particular image shocked me a little more than
the others. It was my mom and my 7 year old self sitting together
in the grass beside a brook watching butterflies. As I watched this
memory replay itself in my head, I saw my mom look over her shoulder...
just as a fairy was flying into a tree overhead.
After I was able to discuss my situation with
my parents and get help, I asked my mom if she'd ever seen fairies.
A smile I'd never seen before wiped across her face, and she answered
"yes... and you have too." to this day I don't know how
my mom knows what I saw that day under the bridge, but I am convinced
now that my town is more magical than I ever imagined, my mom is
a much deeper character than I thought, and somehow... in some beautiful
way, fairies saved my life.

My fairy sighting happened when I was about 6
or 7 years old. I remember that I was sleeping on my bed in a completely
black room. I woke up for no apparent reason and to my surprise
I saw about 3 fairies that were lightly dancing on my stomach. I
didn't know what to do or really what was going on, but I remember
a soothing feeling come over me and I drifted back to sleep.

This year, I spent a week at my friends house.when
she was away, I walked to the town and went to the toy store. As
I looked around, I saw a pack of fairy dust that I had been wanting
for a while. Since it was on sale, I bought it and rushed home.
When I reached my friends bedroom, I sprinkled
the fairy dust everywhere and said the chant over and over. I didn't
see any fairies then so I put the dust away and watched TV.
That night, as I was going to sleep, I noticed
a small glittery light, hanging from the ceiling. I nudged my friend
and pointed to where I had seen the speck of light. She gasped,
and saw it too. For that moment, I realized that this must be a
fairy. I couldn't believe that I was encountering a beautiful creature
like this.
From then on, I had continued to sprinkle fairy
dust in my room. And until this day, I have always seen my good
friends the fairies.

The fairies have reached NEW ZEALAND
|
|
 |
 |
 |
| |
I live in the North Island of NewZealand, near
the sea. Fairies live in our garden at last! It has taken five years
to grow a garden the fairies like and this Spring we began to see
signs that some fairies have at last moved in. The wind chimes have
made music when there has been no wind.
There was something that looked like a tiny,
tiny cake of soap on the edge of the bird bath. And someone has
been taking bluebell flowers off the stalks!!!

From a young believer in the UK

Hi!
I am a twelve year old from England and I have believed in fairies
for years and years. In the summer of 2000, May 13th, when I was
nine years old I definitely saw one.
It was that time in the evening when the air
is fresh and the sky is still bright around 8:00pm. I was the only
one in my front garden and I was sitting on the doorstep looking
at a rose when I felt a presence behind me. I turned around I firstly
thought it was a butterfly with beautiful purply red wings sitting
on the fence. Then, I noticed, it appeared to be sitting. As I looked
closer I saw dainty little legs over the edge of the fence. I gradually
saw slender arms and a perky little face with a cheery grin. I stared
in wonder and felt as if I had left this world. I felt all happy
and peaceful. I blinked and it was gone! I searched for it until
my mother called me in for supper. No one believes me except my
cousin, because I am just a child and grown ups just think I make
it up for attention or that it was just my imagination. But every
day I think of my fairy and I know what I saw.
From a believer, B.D.
