I have been seeing fairies since I was 7. This has been going on years and years and now I'm 12. I’ve seen a lot of things in these years. Fairies that I would play with, that I could sing and talk to. And lots more. Recently I saw some in my friends back garden at 6:00am in the morning because they thought I was crazy so I wanted to prove to them I wasn’t crazy! They were everywhere shooting round the garden at the back but that was all overgrown, I gave them some food- water melon cheese bread & milk, when we went back all the cheese and most of the bread was gone. A few days before that i saw one in the reflection of the window it had dark brown hair, red lipstick on and black eye shadow, she had a purple and green dress on. I knew it was my Granddads course he doesn’t believe in them so she cam to me. My Nan believes in them too she sees them but we both have blue eyes and that’s when you've got a gift of seeing magical creatures like fairies and spirits.

Katelyn- Tennessee, 11 years old

Well, my cousin came to my house every Monday and Wednesday over the summer, and I decided to tell her about faeries. She said she believed me, and that she thought she might have seen some of her own! Well, we went outside to look for some. There's a woods outside my house. I sat on the grass, and stared into it. All of a sudden, I heard this clicking sound coming from it. It didn't sound ANYTHING like an animal! It was more like laughter, but in a clicking way. It sounded like it was almost taunting me! I asked my cousin,” Did you hear that?” "Hear what?" she asked. I told her about the clicking/laughter noise. She said she didn't hear it. I heard it again and then freaked out so I ran inside. The rest of that day, I felt weird. It felt kind of like peace in a way.  

Another time, I was in my backyard playing with my skateboard. All of a sudden I hear that SAME noise! But this time, it was more like arguing. This time, I didn't freak out. I wanted to know what it was, so I waited. I went closer to the woods. The noise suddenly stopped. About 10 seconds later, a figure flew out of the woods. I thought it was a bird at first. The figure landed on my deck. So I ran up there. I saw a bright light sitting on the table. The light started dimming. I figured the little faerie just had an argument and was sad. I wanted to cheer her up. I finally got the courage to say, "Hello." The faerie got scared and disappeared.  

Another encounter happened at night. I took my dog out to use the bathroom. I saw a whole bunch of white light flying around! And I can assure you that fireflies do NOT live in my neighborhood. They didn't look like fireflies, anyway. Right when I could make out arms, legs, clothing, and a head, the door opened and it was my brother. The faeries got scared and flew away, and some disappeared. I was mad at my brother after that.   It feels great to have encounters with these magical beings! I keep a journal, in which I keep my encounters, notes, and facts about fey!

I live at the foot of the Adelaide hills; there is a conservation park with a creek nearby. In my back garden I have a fig tree there and one day in late Autumn 2008 I discovered golden glitter around it, which I believe to be fairy dust. Early winter that same year I began to find mini mushrooms growing in the surrounding area. Every other fairy believer I know that has seen it believe it is either a portal to Fairyland or a fairy home. I never have seen a fairy, but my dad and little sister have so I will share my sister’s experience. At dawn early 2008 my dad and sister were looking out the window facing the front garden, near the hedge they both saw a fairy it looked similar to Cicely Mary Barker’s Snowdrop fairy with a sweet face, white dress and blonde hair, she was a glowing figure. My sister said she was casting a spell and Mumbling some words to herself, then in a flash of golden light she had disappeared. Unfortunately I did not get to catch a glimpse of her.

I've seen fairies! When I was four, I was behind my friend's house in the woods. We traveled through old stone houses and left behind objects, along with wood shelters. Until all of a sudden, I wander off without my friends. I see many little holes in the wood, like doors. Out of nowhere, little orbs, red and white, pink and blue, fly all around me, almost hovering. I call my friends over, and they see them too. But one of the red orbs, or fairies, stick around the older boy. He said,” This fairy's name is Fireball." That's all I can remember, but it was amazing.

It was an ordinary summer night when I had decided to place a shiny penny under my father's pillow for some experimenting. I had planned not to tell anyone about it. Once everyone left the house, I put the penny under the pillow. Until then, we all slept. The next morning my father told me about the phenomenal happening in the middle of that night. He told me that he saw a green glowing orb with fluttering wings flying through his room. The glow emanating from the orb did not reflect physically. It also seemed to shine with sparkle-like... sparkles. Anyways, he followed the faery until the faery noticed and quickly flew into the closed crack of the double-doored closet. He opened it and nothing was to be found. I checked his pillow that day, and the penny wasn't there. I told him about the penny after his story.

Another sighting was when I was to be picked up from school. I was standing next to the field outside when all of a sudden, I see a human-figured little person with long white wings standing on a single blade of grass. She was about half of a foot long. I watched her in awe until a sudden gust of wind dried out my eyes, causing me to blink. Within the split second, she had vanished. I was so happy to be able to catch a glimpse of a wondrous being. I hope one day most people will trust their hearts and believe to see for themselves. And thus, I have one last story that I remember. Of course, I always put a tooth under my pillow for the Tooth Faery. But this one night I did was interesting. I waited patiently, when all of a sudden, someone my sized walked beside my bed. She had a strong blue glow coming off of her, though I only saw her in the corner of my eye. Her every move did not make a single sound, for my floor was very creaky and sensitive. She seemed to leave the room, but she faded away in a glimpse. Next thing you know, I was digging under the pillow to find a money gift. Four quarters in the middle, wrapped with three-dollar bills with four quarters in the bills, topped off with a silky red ribbon.

I was listening to my ipod when I felt something standing on my legs then it slipped down and I felt it through a blanket and my comforter. I got up and immediately started looking around my bed but I saw nothing. I can’t say it was a fairy because I’m not sure what it is. But a lot of weird stuff happens in my house.

Age 13

I might of seen some the first time was I was with my twin Shannon and this girl called jade and we were right out-side our houses were this red berry tree is well anyway we were standing underneath it and we were all singing and praying for the fairies to come and speak to us and for them to be our friends when these black about 4 inches things started flying around us and disappearing and when I went to bed I had this dream that I crawled out of my window and seen loads of different colored lights and when I woke up my window was open and I know for a fact I didn’t open it before I went to bed and never would anyone else! The 3rd time was when I was in my back garden reading these fairy poem books (I was on my own) when a pair of bright yellow wings flew past my head it seemed they had come out I purple flower bush beside me.

One Midsummer Day I and my best friend at the time, Anna, were exploring a forest we came across in her neighborhood. The forest was not too close to houses but straight from her backyard. As we were arguing on a matter I stumbled over a huge log, which was blocking the path we were walking. Anna, who hadn’t even noticed I tripped, kept going and carrying on the conversation. As I attempted picked myself up, I noticed a bright, white figure floating about no more than two inches in front of my face. I just stared in curiosity. Once I began to make out the figure I realized at once it was a fairy. She was all one color, but bright. Her wings weren’t at all still, but fluttering intensely. She had a calm expression on her face. And a dress on that looked almost, of which, the same as Tinkerbelle’s. Not exactly knowing what to do, I quietly spoke, “Anna”! She stopped mid-sentence and turned around frowning. Neither of us said a word. Then for a strange reason I slowly reached my hand out moving it closer as if to touch her. She sprang back quietly and flew away into the wood. Me, now sitting on the log, looked up at Anna and spoke, “I think we just saw a…fairy”.

One night I was in my room just getting to sleep. I saw a blue glow in the shape of a ball fly across my wall. My curtains were closed and no light was coming into my room. I was really scared so I shut my eyes. This was about 4 months ago I didn’t know what it was until now after reading my sister Micaela`s write up on this site. Might be a faerie might be a car passing it’s whatever you think. Occasionally I hear whispers in my house as well.

I believe in fairies very much, but the thing is I have never seen one.  I've tried leaving out offerings and talking to them but it doesn't seem to work.  My older sister said that I have to be a virgin to see them.  I was just wondering if anyone could give me some sort of advice about this.  I know they are real because this spring I decided to plant a garden for them and the only seeds I had were these really old ones my mom had saved.  They were years old but I decided to give it a try.  So my niece and I planted them and right after we did, my whole garden flooded.  I just knew they wouldn't come in my niece and we decided to talk to them, leave them some offerings and see if they could help out.   Now it looks as if every seed we planted has popped up and I even have about ten flowers blooming so I know they are around.
