I have been blessed to have seen fairies three
times.
My first sighting was when I was four or five.
It was raining outside and my mum and dad were going out. I looked
from my parents front window and watched them get into the cab lit
up under the street light and cried as they dragged their umbrella
in, shut the door and drove off. I was in tears I hated them leaving
my brother, sister and I with babysitters. I simply sat there crying
and whimpering.
Then at the window came a light. The light was
small and glowing. I was astounded. I put my head against the window
and watched it flitter about with its little wings and legs. Then
came two more lights and they danced around the window. They were
the most beautiful creatures I have ever seen. The rain was still
pouring and my parents gone but yet I was now happy. I know it was
not a firefly or anything of the sort, first of all it is rare to
have them in England anyway, and it was pouring and not summer.
My second time was in broad daylight. I was walking
through my kitchen and out of the kitchen door I saw a tall lady
standing on the branch of a blossom tree. She had a long white gown
and long golden hair, wings and what I believe was a scepter. She
was about 30 cm tall, yes not small! I turned the corner into my
mum's office to get my mum but looked back once more and the fairy
was gone.
My third encounter with the fair folk was in
my friend Kristina's back garden. We are both firm fairy believers.
We had just been discussing fairies and went outside into her garden
while the sun was setting but whilst the wind was strongly blowing.
We stood under her willow and suddenly a dark shape flew past me.
I looked at Kristina and it appeared she had not seen it. However
I then looked to where she was gazing and I saw several more dark
figures fly past.
At first we thought maybe they were just insects
such as flies, but then more figures flew past and this time some
were dark, whilst others silver. We asked the fairies to show us
a sign that it was them and that we were safe. The wind gushed through
our faces but then dramatically stopped. It didn't gradually slow
down like it usually does.
Coincidence, maybe, but as you can imagine it
got us kind of creeped out even though we knew we were safe. We
ran across her vast lawn to the back where she had to lounge chairs.
We huddled up on one and watched. Then up on her balcony/roof we
saw some little gold figures, similar to the ones I had seen on
my first encounter. We gasped and then in the middle came a light
bigger than the others that kept on flashing and shimmering and
disappearing. It was the colour of the Northern Lights and was just
beautiful we watched it for what seemed like ages. Until they all
faded as the sun went down.
Through the whole sighting we kept on asking
if one and other we could see the same thing. I have been truly
blessed to have sighted these magnificent creatures. We must protect
them and their environment as it is being destroyed by the human
race. PLEASE stay eco-friendly and never become consumed by things
or money. There are so many unbelievers and so much hatred that
the fair folk are hiding. There are so few sightings today we must
stay strong and help to keep the fairies welcome otherwise they
will disappear into the magical realm and never come out again like
so many of the other magical creatures.
