I've always believed in fairies, but never gave
them much thought. I just knew they existed, even if I couldn't
see them. After finding your sight I began to think about them more
and more, wishing that I could be blessed enough to encounter one.
A few nights ago I believe I may have had such
an encounter. It was late and I was laying in bed, trying to go
to sleep, thoughts of the fey running through my mind. I was staring
at the top of the mirror on my dresser, thinking how easily a fairy
could sit on the top of it, or even in the little decorative holes
along the top, when I saw a dark shape fly by in the mirror. I only
saw it for a split second and it was gone, but it was too big to
be a bug, and there were no bugs in the room that I was aware of.
Its location in the mirror would have put it above my head. As soon
as I saw it my mind snapped to attention and declared, "That
was a fairy!" I felt an overwhelming sense of peace and happiness
at that moment. I've heard that fairies often appear out of the
corner of our eye, and I realized that I may have been seeing them
all along but never thought about it. I see flighty movement out
of the corner of my eye all the time. I also see what I call "sparkles".
Little lights, very tiny, that zip across the walls. They come in
all different colors. I have no idea if they have anything to do
with the fairies, but I'd like to believe they do.

I was driving to work one day and I had the
music on. All of a sudden a fairy appeared to me right in front
of my face. I never thought of fairies or was even interested about
fairies at the time. She looked like a little girl and had wings
that fluttered like a hummingbird. I was stunned looking at her
as she started dancing to the music I had on the radio. It was a
fast upbeat tempo. Then the fairy all of a sudden twirled around
and said the words, "Integrity," I did not understand
why she said that word, she was still dancing and then she had all
of a sudden disappeared.
I continued driving to work thinking to myself,
I must be going nuts or something. As I arrived to work, my husband
was on the phone as I walked in. He never calls me unless it is
an emergency with the kids or something. He said to me, "guess
what?" I reply with is everything O.K.? He explained to me
that Integrity Casting called for our daughter to sign her up to
do acting and modeling. At this point my jaw dropped and I replied
with you will never guess what I saw on the way to work. I told
him I saw a fairy and she said the word integrity and no I am not
drinking. I do not drink anyway. This blew my husband away.
I now receive guidance from the fairies for manifesting.
We are usually guided by the fairy realm whenever there is acting
auditions and anything that has to do with living your dreams. My
daughter now is a Hollywood Manager and has been in film, commercials,
and TV.
This fairy story is being published with Doreen
Virtue in her new book Fairies 101 due out in 2007. My daughter
and I also came out with a book called "How to Make Fairy Dust"
Our book "Angel Academy: Where You Discover Your Dreams and
Talents," came out this week and we have fairies, mermaids,
unicorns, and angels in the book. A live your dreams book for children
of all ages.

All my life I have been quite sensitive to the
paranormal and have seen and experienced many odd things, but only
once have I actually seen a fairy.
My experience took place when I was about five
or six years old. It happened in my grandparent's backyard in a
small Central Texas town. It was a beautiful yard with huge, towering
old trees, squirrels that were so tame they took food from my grandma's
hand, and wonderful, lush flowerbeds going all the way down one
side of the fence. I loved playing there amongst the flowers and
amidst nature.
One summer morning as I was looking at the flowers,
starting to pick a few to take inside, I stood still for awhile,
feeling the warmth of the sunlight, and hearing the sounds of insects
and birds. It almost felt as if the air itself was buzzing or humming-like
there was life all around me. Then something fluttery caught my
eye around the rose bush in front of me. I looked closer and saw
what I thought was a little butterfly going into one of the blooms.
I slowly and carefully reached out to try and catch it with my fingers,
when I realized it was NOT a butterfly, but a tiny little girl!
I stood there mesmerized, staring. She let out a tiny giggle, like
a high-pitched chattering sound. She was beautiful, shimmery, and
had an odd-looking but pretty and human-shaped face. She honestly
looked like she was part human and part insect, with a tiny, pointy
nose and green eyes that had no white and no pupils. Her skin was
very pale pink and iridescent, like you could almost see through
it. She had some hair, but not a lot. It was a silvery pale blonde
color. Her wings were shaped like a butterfly, but translucent like
a dragonfly. I don't remember any clothes on her. She reached out
her hand and sort of waved at me, and I smiled at her.
Suddenly, I heard my mom yelling at me from the
back door, and the fairy just disappeared before my eyes. I told
my mom I saw a fairy in a rose, but she didn't believe me and told
me she had been yelling at me for a few minutes. She scolded me
for ignoring her! I only heard her call me once. I looked for that
fairy every day for the rest of that summer, but I never saw her
again.
Nobody that I told believed me except for my
great aunt, who was around 80 years old at the time. She lived next
door to my grandparents, and had beautiful flower gardens too. When
I told her there were fairies in the backyard and I saw one; she
got the most amazing look on her face and said "I know-I've
seen them too!" To this day I can remember everything about
that day as if it only happened yesterday. If I live to be 100,
I won't ever forget it. And I'll still be looking for fairies..

It was my 26th birthday, and I was given a gumball.
It looked like any ordinary gumball, except that it was 4 times
the size of a normal gumball. After a little bit of difficulty fitting
it in my mouth and some clapping, I took a bite and something flew
out at me. It was a shiny lavender flash of light and I heard the
soft giggle of an angelic sounding child. That's all I saw but it
was enough to make me a believer in the fairy world for the rest
of my life.

A few weeks ago, I went to my daughters crib
and I seen these blinking lights all around here I shook my head
and picked her up thinking, I just woke up I'm seeing things well
2 nights ago she was crying so I went to her crib. There were blinking
little lights again, I shook my head thinking I was seeing things
again, I open my eyes up and blinking was still there. So I pick
my daughter up to find out her diaper was wet so I laid her on the
bed to change her, and her clothes. When I unzipped her body suit
a blinking light like flew out, that's when I knew I wasn't seeing
things. For the past few days I have been wondering if it could
be static, but these objects don't seem to be all the time on her,
and the one flew out.

When I was 12 we lived in Washington State on
the top of a small hill. Our house was the highest and behind it
were miles of thick forest. I used to wander through it, especially
when it was drizzling, enjoying the peace and the closeness of nature.
One day I pushed aside a branch that had completely covered my view.
What I saw was as if some kind of other world had frozen in time.
It was a frozen waterfall (about my height though it seemed it should
have been much larger) surrounded by icy rocks and shimmering icicles.
The whole scene was shimmery silver as if it did not belong at all
in that spot. I did not see any faeries, but I felt as if I had
intruded upon something and had been spotted. It felt that activity
had halted the second I pulled back the branch. As I gasped I let
the branch go. When I pulled it back again there was nothing there
but forest and trees. I feel that I cannot deny the existence of
fairies and the fairy world and feel blessed to have encountered
it even if but for a few seconds.

I was about 11 years old so this was about ten
years ago, in Herts, England. I was laying on the sofa as I was
not well. Iwas in the living room and something caught my eye. I
looked down to the floor and saw a small light about the size of
a 2 pence piece jumping across the floor. The light was mainly orange
but seemed to have some blue edging.
I didn't move as I was stunned and just watched
it jump across the room to behind the television. I waited for a
while (about 5 seconds) and the light jumped back out but this time
appeared to have legs which had a dimmer light to them then it quickly
disappeared back behind the television. I shouted for my dad but
when he inspected behind the television there was nothing there.

I remembered an incident in France in 1995.
I was in Dinan in the Northern province Bretagne, due to a school
exchange with a French school. Dinan is a medieval city of incredible
beauty. I was wandering along, crossing an old bridge built of big
grey stones and stopped to take a photo of the river. In a small
gap on the stone wall of the bridge, about two meters above the
surface of the water, a small bush with flowers grew. And there
I saw something. It was about the size of a small bird, definitely
colourful and fluttering with its wings incredible pace, faster
than any normal bird and more like a bee, flying from one blossom
to the next, flying forwards and backwards and sometimes hovering
in midair for a second, but always to fast to have a clear view.
I thought, of course this must be a kolibri. You know, these very
small birds who move their wings in a different manner than others
birds. I think, in English they are called hummingbirds. I tried
to take a photo (which is now in Germany and therefore I cannot
scan and upload it), but it showed later that it was quite blurry.
Also, I found out that kolibris are typical only in the two Americas,
Africa and the Caribbean. So, what do you think? Could it have been
a fairy? Do they collect nectar from blossoms?
I am sure that it was not a normal bird and definitively
too big for an insect whatsoever. My thinking of seeing a kolibri
in the first moment shows, as I believe, that it must have been
something else than bird or insect. Plus, once I had taken the picture,
it was gone. I can only say what I have told above: It was colourful
and flying very fast from flower to flower.

Look at this photo and zoom in on the glowing
light to the right of the tree. I took this picture on the way into
an old graveyard that my husband and I (we've been best friends
since we were 10) used to hang out and play in ever since we were
little. We would sometimes feel perfectly at home and at other times
we would just all feel real strange like we were being warned to
leave. So when we were back home visiting family we decided to go
back to the graveyard with a camera. We wanted some pictures to
show our kids and maybe see if there was anything to the old graveyard.
We were thinking spirits though and not sprites. Our first trip
over was when we took this picture. The place felt alive with activity
so I took six photos and we left. On the way back to my grandmother's
house we tried to review the photos and they were all gone. So we
went back and took ten more. It was different there that time and
just felt quiet and peaceful.
When we got back to Florida and I downloaded
my camera there were 16 pictures from the graveyard even though
my camera was showing 44 pictures taken it downloaded 50. Those
6 photos are still on my camera no matter how many times I erase
all the pictures or buy a new memory stick. In any event, zoom in
and let me know what you think. I will not tell where it was taken
or even what state it was taken in and if you love the idea of faeries
you'll understand why.

I am nearly 30 years old but when I was around
7 my eyes were opened to what seemed like an overlapping world for
a fleeting moment. It was at a school camp at Lake Okataina. The
previous evening there had been tales of ghosts haunting the area
and I must have been scared so I prayed that God would protect me
and sent a sign to show I and everyone around would be safe. I did
not imagine that it would be anything out of the ordinary, maybe
a reassuring word from one of the parents or teachers. Because I
was a shy and unpopular child I got a bunk bed away from the other
girls in my dorm facing the door. When I woke up in the morning
I looked up and relaxing on the heater over the door was a small
colourful person, transparent with large butterfly/dragonfly like
wings enfolding her body (I seem to think of it as feminine) and
extremely beautiful and seeming perfect I remember feeling quite
ugly in comparison. She was not looking at me I do not remember
her saying anything. I felt I was seeing something that humans are
not supposed to see and I was scared in a way. Also I knew I was
seeing this because of my Prayer and Wish and not to be scared of
anything or anyone hurting me. I was so scared I closed my eyes
and drew my sleeping bag up over my head and went back to sleep.
When I woke up she was gone.
This was not my imagination or a dream this really
happened. I have very vague memories of seeing fairies and angels
before I was five. I would love to just talk to someone about these
things apart from my husband who sees their world a little more
clearly but I just haven't found anyone yet I feel willing to talk
to. I would like not to be frightened if it ever happened again.
